Epsomite, also known as Epsom salts, English salt or bitter salt, is magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, a natural mineral that can also be artificially produced. Their name is due to the place of origin of these salts, as deposits of English salts were discovered in Epsom, Great Britain. The appearance of Epson salts is that of crystals.
From the most varied uses, Epsom salts can also be used to make relaxing and draining hot baths: thanks to the magnesium content, in fact, they are able to bring benefits to the musculoskeletal system and deflate any edema.
By adding two cups of Epsom salts to the bath, you can promote muscle relaxation and fight water retention. They can be used to make exfoliating scrubs for the body, or in larger quantities used to recreate the sensation of floating.
